Devotion: Have you ever trusted someone like your very best friend or your brother or sister? Well, have you ever trusted in God? I have. It was my very first time tubing on the lake. I had seen my brother and cousin do it and now it was my turn. Climbing on the tube I realized that everything inside me turned upside down! My dad started the boat and now I was super scared. Then, without warning, the tube jerked forward. I fell into the ice cold water. Coughing and gasping for air, I started to shiver. My dad raced the boat over and my mom grabbed me. I did not want to get back on that tube. My mom told me to trust God and ask Him to help me. So I said a prayer and jumped on the tube. I prayed again and closed my eyes. Then, I opened them and I was tubing!
From that day on I learned to trust God because he takes care of me. He really helped me to not be scared. He was there for me and got me through it. Trusting God means to not be afraid to try something new because I am not alone. He is with me whatever I do or wherever I go. His spirit is in my heart because I have accepted Him and it will never leave.
Prayer: “Dear God, Please help me to trust in you in everything, even if it is something silly (like tubing). Amen”

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powersof this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” – Ephesians 6 10-17
Devotion: In life, there will be time when many obstacles appear in your life. That is when you need to ask for God’s help. God’s help is like a friend or a family member who can help you. He is always there for you when you need him. He is there all the time. You just have to pray for Gods help to come to you. He will help you, but you just have to ask!
When I started this website, I had to ask for help from not only friends and family, but also from God. Many helped write devotions and helped created the actual website, but it was God who helped the most. I knew I wanted to do something that was significant, and God gave me the idea. He helped me make a plan of action to make this website possible. God gave me the courage to speak in front of my teachers, the Head of my school, and my classmates to tell them about my idea. I wasn’t sure what people would think. I am passionate about this website, but it’s God who gave me this passion and gave me the courage to go through with it. I wasn’t scared when I rememebered that God helped make it all happen!
So when you need help, in any part of your life or in school, just ask God. Ask him to help you with the big things and the little things. God can help you all the time!
Prayer: “Dear God Please help me to remember to lean on you and ask YOU for help when I need it. I know you are always there for me. Amen.”
